Shannon Wingle and Ryan Devereaux have been together since 2005. They train in Canton, Michigan with Igor Shpilband, who also choreographed their programs for this season. Last season, they placed 5th as novices. This year, they competed at two Junior Grand Prix events, finishing 6th and 7th, and then qualified for Nationals by placing 2nd at Pacific Coast Sectionals.

Wingle previously competed with James Warren, with whom she won a the bronze medal in novice, and Kurt Lingenfelter, with whom she won the Juvenile National title. Devereaux competed as a juvenile with Elizabeth Susko before pairing up with Wingle.
