Michaela Cook and Jordan Cowan teamed up in early September 2006, giving them just two months to prepare for Midwestern Sectionals. Cook and Cowan train in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with coaches Yasa Netchaeva and Iouri Netchaeva. Tchesnitchenko and Netchaeva choreographed the team's programs for the 2006/2007 season. Though in sixth place after the compulsory dances, Cook and Cowan finished 3rd in the free dance to finish in 4th to qualify for US Nationals.

Cook's last trip to Nationals was at the intermediate level where she finished 11th (with Stanislav Sidorov). Cowan competed at the 2006 US Junior Nationals with Kaylyn Pattitucci.
