Anastasia Olson and Patrick Mays teamed up in Spring 2006 and train in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with coaches Yasa Netchaeva and Iouri Tchesnitchenko. Igor Shpilband choreographed the duo's free dance this season. The team switched coaches after sectionals from Shpilband/Zoueva in Canton, to the Ann Arbor training center with Netchaeva and Tchesnitchenko. Olson and Mays won the bronze medal at the 2007 Pacific Coast Sectionals.

Mays finished 5th at the 2006 US Junior National Championships (intermediate) with Angela VanWiemeersch. Olson won the pewter medal at the juvenile level in 2004 and bronze medal in 2005 at US Junior Nationals (both with Greg Zuerlein).
