Morgan Matthews and Max Zavozin teamed up in 2001 and are coached by Elena Garanina in Ashburn, Virginia. Garanina is Zavozin's mother. The team qualified for the 2007 National Championships due to their top 5 finish at the 2006 event.

Matthews and Zavozin finished 4th and 6th at their Grand Prix events this season, their second on the senior international circuit.

The team has medalled each time they have competed at the National Championships, including a bronze a the novice level, two gold medals at the junior level and a pewter medal at the senior level in 2006.

In 2005, they won the World Junior Championships.
