Elizabeth Miosi and Dmitry Ponomarev teamed up in 2004. They train in Ashburn, Virginia, under coach Elena Garanina. Miosi and Ponomarev won the gold medal at Eastern Sectionals to advance to the 2007 US National Championships.

Miosi and Ponomarev competed on the Junior Grand Prix circuit for the 05/06 season finishing 4th at the JGP event in Montreal and 6th at the SBC Cup in Japan. They were 6th at the 2006 championships at the junior level.

Ponomarev is Miosi's first ice dancing partner. She trained as a singles skater before switching to ice dancing. Ponomarev competed for Russia with Anastasia Platonova.
