Jennifer Wester and Daniil Barantsev teamed up in 2003 and train in Simsbury, Connecticut, under coach Nikolai Morosov. The team finished 7th at the 2006 US National Championships. This is their second trip to US Nationals.

Barantsev is a former World Champion for Russia (2000 and 2001 with Natalia Romaniuta). He relocated to the US after the end of his previous partnership in hopes of finding a new partner to continue his skating career. Wester previously competed with Jon Harris.

The team has been unable to compete internationally to this point due to Barantsev not being released by the Russian Federation.
