S K A T I N G

Partnership: Chantal and Arseniy first skated together in early Spring 2003. This meeting was arranged when coach Nikolai Morozov and his assistant Shae-Lynn Bourne approached Chantal at the 2003 Canadian Nationals. Lefebvre was coaching a junior team at the event and although she was surprised, she agreed to the tryout. When they first stepped on the ice, both say it was magical and the decision was made just four days later that they would work together to reach their mutual goals.

Training: Lefebvre and Markov are coached by Elise Hamel and Tyler Myles. Their programs are choreographed by Pasquale Camerlengo. They train in Montreal, Quebec, and represent CPA LaSalle. Chantal and Arseniy spend 30 hours per week training on ice, while spending 15 hours per week in off ice training. Their off ice training includes gym, ballroom dance and rollerblading.
