Julia started skating at age 4. She and her brother were both avid downhill skiers who were taken to the ice by their Grandfather when there wasn't enough snow to ski. They haven't stopped since. When they moved to the US in 1990, they continued
to skate at North Texas Ice Arena in Valley Ranch, under
Pierre Panayi.

Julia plans to graduate in spring 2006. Majoring in accounting, she hopes to open her own CPA office. At Colleyville Heritage High School in Texas, Julia won the AP Scholar Award.

Julia's hobbies include poetry, spending time with her cats,
and being outdoors.
