This website represents a snapshot of Kaitlyn's and my ice dance partnership, a five-year long story of practice, perseverance, commitment, and steady improvement that began in January 2001 and lasted through January 2006. Highlights of that partnership included training away from our homes in Houston, winning two national medals, representing our country as members of US Figure Skating's Team USA, and learning what it takes to succeed at the highest levels of sport. Over those years, we came to know the hardship, sacrifice, and discipline that excellence demands.
Kaitlyn and I grew up together and, in that process, forged an enduring friendship. Although we are no longer skating partners, we remain in close contact, updating each other frequently about our plans and hopes. In August 2006, Kaitlyn formed a partnership with Canadian skater Andrew Poje; together, they hope to represent that country in the 2010 Winter Olympics. (You can see details of their partnership at www.weaverandpoje.ice-dance.com/). I am in my senior year at Columbia and would like to begin a graduate program in political science next year. I continue to skate, of course, coaching, training, and testing the international dances.
Thanks for stopping by our web site and for getting to know us.
