Roxette Howe Teachers Young Women to Be Beautiful and Have Confidence<\/em><\/p>\n

Roxette Howe is an ice dancer like none other on the scene today. What makes her unique is that she has 309,955 subscribers with over nine million views on YouTube and has a lofty dream of one day launching her own makeup brand. But for now, this raven-haired beauty is splitting her time between her two passions in life: ice dancing and her YouTube beauty channel.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cI started my YouTube channel when I was training in Novi, Michigan a couple of years ago,\u201d Howe said. \u201cI was really bored while I wasn\u2019t training and would watch hours of beauty videos on YouTube. One day, I decided I wanted to try to make my own video and my channel was born.\u201d<\/p>\n

Howe, 22 and a resident of Los Angeles, California, creates very professional videos that contain a variety of beauty, skin, and nutrition advice. The series of instructional videos focus on makeup, hair, weird products, drug store makeup, and celebrity-inspired makeup applications such as makeup styles of the Kardashians. Her channel is RoxetteArisa<\/a>. Fans can also follow her on Twitter<\/a> and Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy channel is growing rapidly now, and I\u2019ve noticed viewers react really well to drugstore videos and the celebrity-inspired makeup tutorials,\u201d Howe said.<\/p>\n

Being an ice dancer for 18 years has given Howe the tools and acquired skill needed to instruct the everyday female on makeup application.<\/p>\n

\u201cI began skating when I was 4 years old,\u201d Howe remembers. \u201cI was on a family vacation in New York City and as soon as I saw the Rockettes perform, I was hooked. We ice skated in Central Park and as soon as I got back home, I begged my parents for lessons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Howe competes at the Senior level, but is currently without a partner, due to the retirement of her partner, Jean-Luc Jackson. In 2016, the team won a silver Medal at sectionals. Howe is currently seeking a new partner with whom she shares the same goals. One of her objectives is to compete internationally for Canada. She currently trains under the guidance of coaches, Megan Wing and Aaron Lowe. Howe\u2019s brother, Spencer competes as a pair skater for Japan.<\/p>\n

Drawing inspiration from ice dancing greats such as Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Tanith Belbin White and Ben Agosto, and Wing and Lowe, Howe embraces the artistic capabilities and creative expression ice dancing has to offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cSkating makes me feel happy,\u201d Howe said. \u201cI love the feeling of being \u2018free\u2019 on the ice. I\u2019m motivated by the will to be better than I was the day before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Howe trains about four hours a day with 1-2 hours of off-ice training. Part of her video tutorials teach women about good nutrition and staying in shape. Two things she knows well after years of competition and skating at a senior level. Howe said she eats a plant-based diet with lots of fruit, veggies, and quinoa.<\/p>\n

Howe, who studied Communications and Broadcast Journalism in college, uses her interpersonal skills and showmanship, acquired through competitive figure skating, when creating her videos. Her sense of style, beauty, creativity, and humor shine through in all of her video posts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI try to be as real as possible, which resonates well with my audience,\u201d Howe said. \u201cI hope to one-day reach millions of viewers and inspire women to love themselves inside and out.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
