Jared Weiss<\/strong><br \/>something lyrical<br \/>Overall, much improved since last year.\u00a0 Nice extension and a good connection between them.\u00a0 Their straightline lift was shaky, but redeemed themselves with a beautiful hydroblade lift with her in a full split.\u00a0 39.23, 10th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Li &amp; Tyler Vollmor<\/strong><br \/>jazzy piece + classical piece<br \/>Transition between the two pieces of music worked well, and it was nice to see them try interpreting two different styles.\u00a0 29.10, 15th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lauren Leonesio &amp; Dustin Perini<\/strong><br \/>Romeo &amp; Juliet<br \/>Good speed and ice coverage with impressive lifts.\u00a0 Rest of the elements were solid.\u00a0 41.71, 6th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holly Moore &amp; Daniel Klaber<\/strong><br \/>\u201cLe Jazz Hot\u201d<br \/>Took a freak fall, but otherwise, a very polished program.\u00a0 Great skating skills, and lots of charming choreography highlights.\u00a0 Nice attention to detail in the whole program.\u00a0 50.50, 1st (1st in TES, 2nd in PCS).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melinda Meng &amp; Andrew Meng (CAN)<\/strong><br \/>Tango<br \/>Speed and intensity built throughout the program.\u00a0 They started a little tentatively, but looked more comfortable as they got further along.\u00a0 Fierce character, but they do skate a little \u201csmall.\u201d\u00a0 Would like to see more flow.\u00a0 49.16, 3rd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angelina Giordano &amp; Christopher Davis<\/strong><br \/>Chocolat + \u201cCaravan\u201d<br \/>They are a well-matched team that moves well together.\u00a0 The program had some lovely moments, but their expression can be improved; it was a little difficult to tell what story they were trying to portray.\u00a0 The ending spin had a bit of trouble and slowed down quite a bit, but they got through it.\u00a0 40.97, 8th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tory Patsis &amp; Garrett Kling<\/strong><br \/>Swing<br \/>In their first event together, their elements were a little rough, but can be ironed out with more time.\u00a0 Good expression and attention to the character of the program.\u00a0 23.22, 16th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alia Helsing &amp; Alasdair Spitzer<\/strong><br \/>Prince of Egypt<br \/>Some trouble with the elements in this program and they need more speed, but the choreography was quite intricate.\u00a0 Perhaps they were concentrating very hard on the steps and with some more time, they will be able to relax and skate more freely.\u00a0 36.89, 13th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morgan Grant &amp; Luke Skala<\/strong><br \/>Tango<br \/>The lifts were the highlight of this program, very strong!\u00a0 However, they do not have many transitions between elements and do not have the character of a tango just yet.\u00a0 48.78, 4th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sierra Chadwick &amp; Alexander Martin<\/strong><br \/>\u201cMack the Knife\u201d<br \/>What a sweet couple!\u00a0 They were all smiles and looked like they were having a blast.\u00a0 Their program is fun and dance-y, and although they hesitated a bit on difficult elements, they kept the performance quality up.\u00a0 41.51, 7th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Rosinski &amp; Jacob Jaffe<\/strong><br \/>\u201cThis is a Man\u2019s World\u201d + \u201cI Feel Good\u201d<br \/>A new team, but they already have a good connection.\u00a0 Elements were done well and cleanly.\u00a0 They lost a bit of speed and spark in the final minute, but this will be a great program for them once they have a bit more stamina.\u00a0 Nice start!\u00a0 40.70, 9th (6th in PCS).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Pfeifer &amp; Grant Lorello<\/strong><br \/>Swing<br \/>Another new team in their first event.\u00a0 It is obvious that they are still getting used to skating with each other, but the elements were done well and the program suits them well.\u00a0 Looked like fun!\u00a0 Looking forward to seeing this program progress.\u00a0 38.52, 11th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Irina Chutko &amp; Pater Paleev (RUS)<\/strong><br \/>Pulp Fiction<br \/>It is clear that this small team takes competition seriously in a big way!\u00a0 Very, very polished and refined.\u00a0 Every last detail looks practiced and choreographed\u2014it would be nice to see them feel the music a little more\u2014but they are such a treat to watch.\u00a0 43.43, 5th (8th in TES).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whitney Miller &amp; Kyle MacMillan<\/strong><br \/>Russian Gypsy<br \/>This new team is off to a great start.\u00a0 Elements were skated very well, and they (especially her) have a great expression that demands your attention.\u00a0 Good speed and use of the ice, too.\u00a0 49.90 (2nd in TES, 1st in PCS).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Julia Leix &amp; Dean Miller<\/strong><br \/>Egyptian<br \/>Lots of new teams in this field!\u00a0 Some hesitation showed in this program\u2014they slowed down during footwork and had a few rough spots.\u00a0 They are starting to perform this dance well, but would love to see even more expression from them.\u00a0 35.47, 14th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chloe Lewis &amp; Logan Bye<\/strong><br \/>Music was familiar&#8230;we guessed Polovetsian Dances, but weren\u2019t sure, and now we can\u2019t remember.<br \/>For a small team, they have good flow over the ice and through their movements.\u00a0 He\u2019s such a chivalrous partner\u2014he does a great job of presenting her.\u00a0 Nice job, but they can attack the elements even more.\u00a0 37.53, 12th (7th in PCS).<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free Dance Stacey Siddon &amp;
