2015 JGP Poland Blog #1: Greetings from Torun!

Hey everyone!

I’m coming to you from beautiful Torun, Poland! This is our second JGP and we are so excited to be here.  I’m sorry I was not able to blog the first day we were here, our day was filled with traveling and we were very tired.

My day started this morning at around 7:30 when I woke up and got ready, then went to breakfast.  Breakfast was so good! After breakfast, we headed off to the rink for warm up and practice.  We had our first practice at 11:40 and it went pretty well.  My legs are still a bit tired from all of the travel, but not too bad.  We had our draw for the short dance in between each of the practices, and we will skate third.

We ate a little after that and then it was time for our second practice.  Second practice went pretty good as well, and it was nice to be able to feel the ice that we will be competing on. After a long day at the rink, we came back to the hotel and ate dinner with our good friends and training mates, Christina Carriera and Anthony Ponomarenko.   Dinner was also very good, I had pasta and it was delicious!

After that I went up to my room and the jet lag hit me like a ton of bricks! I fell asleep around 9:30 and I woke up several hours later to blog about my day.  Sadly, I haven’t been able to see the town yet, but I definitely will soon and I can’t wait!

Thanks for reading. I will blog again soon! Bye for now!
