2015 JGP Spain Blog #3: Lost in Logrono!

I woke up this morning, and opened the window to see a beautiful sunrise over the town.

After getting ready and eating a quick breakfast with the usual crew, we left for our practice! It was nice to get on the ice again, this time in our short dance attire. Fortunately, we had a morning practice which gave us most of the day to explore.

After changing into normal clothes and wiping off my makeup, so I didn’t scare the locals, I headed out to shop and enjoy the perfect weather. We walked through a beautiful little garden with a couple small fountains, and came across a big fountain in the middle of the park with so much detail put into the design. There are lots of fountains here I’ve noticed, and we then sat at a pretty café with a view of another fountain and some gorgeous apartments. We walked back to leave enough time to rest before watching the ladies. Ellie, Danny, and I finished watching “Hercules” and then set off to watch our US ladies!!

Brynne and Tessa both skated beautifully and sit in 7th and 9th. After getting a little lost… Ok VERY lost, Ellie and I found the boys and went to have dinner in the town with one of our coaches, Adrienne. It was a delightful scene in the streets and then although we needed to get to sleep because we’re waking up at 4am, we cheered Nathan on through the computer screen!! He was incredible and got a seasons best score of 77.94 and sits in 1st, but I have to go to sleep before the event finishes :(.
